Taking a page from my good friend Patti of They Don't Make 'Em Like They Use To, I have created my favorite actors/actresses lists on my sidebar. I've done posts about my faves before but I thought it would be cool to have the lists on my sidebar as well. And they may change from time to time, but for the most part will remain the same, give or take a few people. So if you're interested, just take a gander to your right to see who my current faves are. Of course my top actor/actress should be no surprise to anyone...

Star Rankings For The Week Ending Sunday April 3rd, 2011

Another week has come and gone so it's time for my weekly top ten ranking of actors and actresses. It's a ranking of stars that I have either posted about through out the week or watched some of their movies.

1. ELIZABETH TAYLOR (2 weeks)

Liz Taylor was the top ranked star for the second week in a row as I continued with some posts dedicated to her in the wake of her recent passing. There were only three stars who carried over from last week including Liz. The others were Natalie Wood and Doris Day. New to the list included Liz's ex, Richard Burton, Vivien Leigh, Betty Grable, Gene Tierney, birthday gals Debbie Reynolds and Shirley Jones and finally Anne Baxter. Baxter kicked off my Beware These Women! festival this month.

THE MEN are coming in JUNE

So it appears the women had all sorts of fun in my classic actress tournament this month. Well, I want to be fair and have one for the men as well. So in June, I will stage a 64 actor tournament to decide the favorite classic movie actor here on All Good Things. I have heard lots of responses from people that are looking forward to it. I have started breaking down the rankings like I did for the women and while it's still a work in progress, I do have the top 4 seeds. Once again there will be 4 brackets: silent/30's; 1940's; 1950's; and 1960's. Here are the top actors for each era:

Silent/30's: CLARK GABLE
1940's: CARY GRANT
1950's: MARLON BRANDO
1960's: PAUL NEWMAN

So for all of my female followers, just hang on for 2 more months, and the men will be here in all their glory.
