Talking about movies, movies, movies. I believe movies are one of the best pleasures in life. Nothing better than watching a classic film and talking with others about them. Love the classics the most but will also talk about the newer stuff too. And covering all genres: comedy, action, horror, sci-fi, drama, musicals, etc. Will also discuss TV shows, more of the classics, but occasionally the newer stuff too. And anything else that might be on my mind. Feel free to drop by and have a chat.

Congratulations to Audrey Hepburn on becoming the Favorite Classic Movie Actress of 2017
She did..she finally did it. After appearing in two previous final fours, the third time was the charm for Audrey Hepburn as she won the 2017 Favorite Classic Movie Actress Tourney, with a hard fought win over Elizabeth Taylor by the count of 51-47. It was a close match pretty much the whole time except for on day 3 when Audrey pulled ahead by 9 votes only to see Liz rally back the following day to go ahead by one vote. But Audrey wasn't to be denied as she staged her own comeback, took the lead and never looked back. Winning in her third try, Audrey joins Carole Lombard and Natalie Wood in that distinction..great company. And she also joins the other winners Irene Dunne, Ginger Rogers, Bette Davis, Greer Garson and Doris Day. Audrey becomes the 2nd actress representing the 50's era to win the tourney, joining Doris Day in that feat. And this makes the win her 24th one, tying Grace Kelly for all time tourney wins. Well until next year when Grace will be be competing. Once again congrats to Audrey and her amazing tourney run and I hope everyone enjoyed voting for their favorites. Until next year :)
