Talking about movies, movies, movies. I believe movies are one of the best pleasures in life. Nothing better than watching a classic film and talking with others about them. Love the classics the most but will also talk about the newer stuff too. And covering all genres: comedy, action, horror, sci-fi, drama, musicals, etc. Will also discuss TV shows, more of the classics, but occasionally the newer stuff too. And anything else that might be on my mind. Feel free to drop by and have a chat.

Classic Horror Films - Day 7 (STRAW DOGS - 1971)
A young American (Dustin Hoffman) and his English wife (Susan George) come to rural England and face increasingly vicious local harassment. He is bullied and his wife is attacked. And he is very meek and non-confrontational, but then he gets pushed to far and decides to fight back. Things get nasty when that happens. And it's on after that. Quite violent and bloody from director Sam Peckinpah. Hoffman is top notch as David, as he goes from timid to hard core before the movie is over. And George delivers a solid performance as well.
