Talking about movies, movies, movies. I believe movies are one of the best pleasures in life. Nothing better than watching a classic film and talking with others about them. Love the classics the most but will also talk about the newer stuff too. And covering all genres: comedy, action, horror, sci-fi, drama, musicals, etc. Will also discuss TV shows, more of the classics, but occasionally the newer stuff too. And anything else that might be on my mind. Feel free to drop by and have a chat.

1940's Era Winner is.............VIVIEN LEIGH
It was a close match between Ingrid Bergman and Vivien Leigh but Leigh winds up as the 1940's era bracket winner 33-31. It was a tough loss for Bergman, who led pretty much the two days until the last two hours. Vivien Leigh who was seeded 4th in this era joins 10 seed Irene Dunne to form half of the Classic Movie Actress Final Four. They must now wait on the winners on the 50's and 60's era brackets. The final four format will pit the silent/30's era winner against the 50's era winner and the 40's era winner will face off against the 60's era winner. Then whoever wins those matches will battle in the final to decide who is the most loved classic movie actress of All Good Things. And so far no number 1 seed has won their respective era. The pressure will be on for 50's era 1 seed Audrey Hepburn to see if she can break that unlucky streak. Thanks to everyone who has participated in this event. And to those actresses that were left out this year, plans are already underway to make next year's tournament bigger and better. So some favorites that were overlooked this year will definitely be in the mix come next year.
Gosh...that picture of Vivien Leigh is FLAWLESS! My goodness, she was amazing.
ReplyDeleteThree cheers for Viv!
