The top 4 seeds in the 40's era of Hitchcock tournament all advance

The top four seeds of the 40's era of the Hitchcock tournament all advanced to the next round and shapes up to be a pair of exciting matches. Top seed Rebecca crushed Rope 18-5 and 4th seed Suspicion edged out Hitch's only full comedy film, Mr. and Mrs. Smith 11-9. Sorry to see my girl Carole exit another tournament early. 2nd seed Notorious beat Lifeboat 14-7 and 3rd seed Shadow of a Doubt defeated Spellbound. So now the semi-final matches set up like this: Joan Fontaine will battle herself as her films Rebecca and Suspicion square off in match 1 while Notorious will face Shadow of a Doubt. Matches begin immediately and will run through Tuesday noon. Good luck to all the films.

MATCH 1

1 REBECCA (1940)

VS

4 SUSPICION (1941)

--------------------------------------

MATCH 2

2 NOTORIOUS (1946)

VS

3 SHADOW OF A DOUBT (1943)

  1. To me, there is only one way to choose between Rebecca and Suspicion and that is by looking at the male co-star. Cary over Olivier any day!
