Judging by the response from yesterday's post, everybody is in favor of me posting the entire classic movie actor tournament brackets all at once so you can pick all your matches and have a final four in place. Which is cool with me. These are the sixteen actors for each of the four decades. I will post the first decade, the silent/30's era on Sunday, May 29th, one day before the tourney kicks off. So it would be cool if everyone could go thru their brackets and make their picks and then post their final four picks in the comments section.
Just note that the grouping follows as the winner of 1/16 match will face the 8/9 winner, 4/13 winner will face 5/12 winner, etc. Continue to work your way down as you should have 1 actor coming from each set of 4 to face off in the semi-finals. If that sounds confusing, just look to the actress post to see how they were broken down. I wish I could post the brackets here but they just show up so small that it would be very hard to read. Good luck to everyone.

So there you have all 64 actors at one quick glance. And if you're curious who my final four would be, they are Errol Flynn, Cary Grant, William Holden, and Jack Lemmon. With my guy Cary winning the whole thing. Love to hear everyone else's picks.

I'm guessing (and these are not necessarily my picks) that it will be:
Fred Astaire
Cary Grant
William Holden
Paul Newman
There is definitely going to be some stiff competition, though, and I can't wait for the games to begin! I think these contests are super fun!
OH, what fun this is, Monty.
I'm going with my heart here. I mean, I have to be faithful to my 2 loves, so even though I actually think Jimmy Stewart will take the 40's (and the whole thing!), my picks are as follows:
30's - James Cagney
40's - Gary Cooper
50's - William Holden
60's - Jack Lemmon
My #1 guy Holden to win it all.
Me again...I forgot to say 2 things:
First of all, thank you for always leaving me such kind, encouraging comments. They make me smile.
Also, your initial pairings really made for some difficult decisions. Though I'm a huge fan of both Robert Taylor and Ray Milland, both of those guys didn't even make it out of the first round for me. How sad to leave them behind.
Wow, this sounds like a lot of fun! I hope James Stewart gets in there somewhere close
Although the choices are difficult and I would need to ignore some of my favorite actors, I would choose John Gilbert, Ray Milland, Kirk Douglas and Peter O’Toole. I suspect the final two contenders will be Errol Flynn and Cary Grant.
