Irene Dunne in I Remember Mama
Janine: Probably Mama of I Remember Mama. I can't identify with her but she's the epitome of goodness to me.

Monty: Do you have any favorite modern movies Janine?

Janine: Sorry, I have no idea :( ... I'm too busy with classic movies. ;)

Monty: Do you have any favorite modern stars Janine?

Janine: I have to confess there aren't many modern stars I like, maybe Kate Winslet and Meryl Streep, but that's all.

Monty: Another day, another question for Janine. What is your favorite classic movie decade: the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's or 60's?

Janine: Hard to say most of my favorite films are from the late 30s or early 40s.



Monty: Good choices...me, myself I'm split between the 30's and the 60's.

Janine: I have two perfect ways: Late at night when everyone else is asleep or on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

Monty: Hey Janine..describe your first classic movie experience. Like where did you watch it..with who, what film was it, etc...



Janine: It's a little boring. It was a lazy Christmas day, I was about 15 and the movie was Gone With The Wind. Since then I'm addicted to classic movies.



Monty: Nothing boring with that.

Janine: Most of my favorite movies are Irene Dunne films like my all time favorite Love Affair (1939) or Penny Serenade (1941) and I Remember Mama (1948)... but to name a few others ;) Waterloo Brigde (1940), Gone With the Wind (1939), Random Harvest (1942), Hold Back the Dawn (1941), Rebecca (1940), Stella Dallas (1937), I'll be Seeing you (1944), Dark Victory (1939), Now Voyager (1942), Seventh Heaven (1937), Wuthering Heights (1939), Camille (1936) and two more very close to my heart Together Again (1944) and When Tomorrow Comes (1939)

Janine: My number 1 is definitely Irene Dunne. And here are some more I like: Vivien Leigh, Ginger Rogers, Myrna Loy, Barbara Stanwyck, Rosalind Russell, Bette Davis and the male part: Charles Boyer, Cary Grant, James Stewart and William Powell.
