Classic Stars Match Play #14 - Bogie vs Cagney...this could get messy

A pair of tough guys look to mix it up for the next match play: Humphrey Bogart and James Cagney. Should be explosive. Both men have a lot in common. Both were born in December in 1899. Both hail from New York. Both have 3 Oscar nominations and 1 win each. Both made a career out of playing tough guys. And both share the same match play record of 2-1. The match begins immediately and runs thru Sunday 5 pm est. Good luck to both gentlemen.

Bogie means business

Oh, what an exciting, interesting match. Of course, it's a no-contest for me, as I adore James Cagney. I know, I know, he's not one of those actors one adores, but I do. He is WAY high on my best actor list. He was a simply amazing actor, and I think he ought to have won FAR more than just 1 Oscar.

Cagney for me too! Never understood Bogart as a romantic lead but always bought Cagney as a tough guy. Then he played George M and knocked my socks off with his other talents. Yep, no contest in my mind!
