Talking about movies, movies, movies. I believe movies are one of the best pleasures in life. Nothing better than watching a classic film and talking with others about them. Love the classics the most but will also talk about the newer stuff too. And covering all genres: comedy, action, horror, sci-fi, drama, musicals, etc. Will also discuss TV shows, more of the classics, but occasionally the newer stuff too. The Men's FINAL FOUR is now set...

Paul Newman beat Sidney Poitier 26-9 for the last spot in the Classic Movie Actor Tournament. He joins William Powell, Cary Grant, and William Holden. I will have the Final Four begin on Sunday afternoon. I can't wait to see who wins, but everyone knows my favorite actor is Cary, so that's who I'm going for. As far as my final four picks went: I got Cary and William Holden right. I had also chose Errol Flynn and Jack Lemmon. By the way Paul Newman joins Cary as the only other top seed to advance to the final four (men or women). And guess what, they face off against each other first. Ouch! Anyway, congratulations guys. Here are the scheduled matches which begin on Sunday. Place your bets.

Patti said...: I HAVE to be loyal to my #1 guy William Holden, but I really think Cary is going to take it all. And since he's my #4 guy I am very much okay with that. (At least this round I'll be able to vote for both of them.)

Like you, I had Lemmon for the 60's final. I had the amazing James Cagney for the 30's. And I was loyal to my #2 guy Coop for the 40's. But I really didn't expect Coop to win...thought it'd be Cary or Jimmy. Actually, I really thought Jimmy would take the entire tournament. I'm quite surprised he's not here.
